Our Artisans Secret “Jaffa Gin” is something special that combines the ultimate indulgence of chocolate and sweet essence of oranges. This indulgent tipple is fantastic in an affogato, though equally incredible on its own. An absolute must-try! 

The Concept

Our blending experiments with a much-loved flavour pairing of orange and chocolate, have resulted in the perfect balance of orange zest, dark chocolate and our own distilled Aussie Dry Gin. It’s a modern twist on a traditional concept – a rather delicious gin that is not too sweet and not too sticky, delivering the perfect combo of chocolate and orange.

The Reminiscence

The fragrance and taste evokes a sense of warm comfortable reminiscence. For instance, for many who grew up in Australia, Jaffa will be reminiscent of days gone by at the cinema.

Nose

The aroma has a fresh top-note of orange peel, gradually deepening to orange, on a dark chocolate base. The aroma  is intoxicating, with the enticing scent of cocoa and zesty orange floating through the air. It evokes a sense of warm comfortable reminiscence. 

Palate and Finish

A smooth and velvety texture and a sweet taste which avoids being excessively sweet, with fresh orange still present.  Fresh orange still present and smooth chocolate in the finish. 

Pairing Ideas

Jaffa Gin is a versatile choice for contemporary takes on classic cocktails such as Martinis and Sidecars, as well as mixing perfectly with ginger beer or dry ginger ale and lime for a simple, thirst-quenching serve. It is perfect on its own or over ice. And it’s also sensational when served as a champagne spritzer or with tonic, soda or your favourite mixer. Sarah loves it with ice cream, and it makes a fantastic Negroni!
